How It All Began
In May 2022, a chance meeting brought together two individuals with a shared passion for agriculture and a common family background. Ainembabazi Vicky and Jesca Nayebare discovered there mutual interest in livestock farming and the challenges faced by farmers in this sector. This connection sparked the beginning of an exciting journey towards making a difference in the lives of livestock farmers. Hence Founding Farm Plus Agrovets Uganda
Identifying the problem
Through extensive research and interactions with farmers, we identified a critical issue affecting livestock farming: the expensive and inconsistent supply of protein feed supplements. Traditional protein sources like soybean and fish meal are not only seasonal but also consumed by people, leading to scarcity and price hikes. This leaves farmers with unaffordable or nutritionally inadequate feed options, resulting in low growth rates and reduced productivity.

Our product, derived from the maggot stage of the black soldier fly, offers a consistent supply of high-quality protein, helping farmers improve the growth rates and productivity of their livestock.
